Ane thing I've heard is some people use those freestanding portable Ac units (they go for a niggling over $225 at Habitation Depot) and all you would need to do is run the vent hose out of the camper (like out the door or something, maybe out a roof vent if you have ane). If you accept to spend over $100 on a new unit, it may exist worth spending the actress greenbacks and get the portable unit. The bonus is yous can use it in your home if/when you lot aren't camping if yous don't take central air or choose not to turn on the whole house unit. These can work as dehumidifiers also.
A roof unit of measurement would cost over $500 just also poses the leak outcome if non washed correctly, non to mention added bracing.
Good luck.

We removed the cabinet door from under the stove. Cutting a perfect pigsty in the paneling and metallic.
motion picture from the exterior before the hole was cut
New hole. Nosotros were very careful. Considering we are reusing the metallic as a door
Install ac on drawer slides. This is what it looks like inside
Pulled out
Created a door, latch and locking system with conditions seals for travel.
Door acts as rain shield and sun shield.
Retrofitted intake and frazzle grates in door. Not shown in pic . Simply when pulled out we removed the ac exhaust grate. And created duct work to attach to the top grate.
This works slap-up. We did driveway camping this weekend. It's was 84 outside in sun the inside was 89. I added a small-scale fan and it worked great. In 2 hours dropped temp to 82. And this was earlier I added the reflective window insulation.

I'm guessing they took off the forepart of the unit that would normally vent to the room. Then made some kind of duct to divert the cold air out of the top grate so the air isn't cooling the enclosure. Can y'all explicate about the exhaust grate ? What did you hateful past removing exhaust grate and calculation duct piece of work? Thanks and more pics of back of grates; inside cabinet with any duct work done would exist great too![]()
